Greenie comp, English baptism and weekly run through
This week was an emotional rollercoster! I've been missing home, tired, excited and just so many more things.
Monday- P-day, Elder Averett, Mills and my companions all went to Tegucigalpa for a goodbye game of Potra (soccer but on a concrete basketball court with goals under the baskets) and a leader conference the next day. P-day consisted of taking our comps to the bus stop, going to the mall to look around, going to a jersey shop and relaxing all day. It was nice but I just felt so weird. Even though we are all 18 I felt like we had no adult supervision and just lost.
Tuesday- Elder Mill's companions came and picked him up early in the morning, so it was just me and Elder Averett for the whole day and my companions told me that we had an important lesson that we had to teach. Let's just say for 2 greenies that have only been in the field for a month we nailed it!!!! She took notes and is getting baptized this Saturday.
Wednesday- regular day except a family we are teaching has 2 little girls named Valeria and Valentina. They had matching CHRISTMAS PJ'S on. If you don't know what month it is it's the beginning of October. It is crazy.
Thursday- had some bomb food this day. My bread was going to go bad, so I made a ton of French toast that I snacked on all morning. Then went to a member's house and made baliadas again. let's just say I'm not very good at making round thin tortillas.
Friday- Went to La Paz to go on Intercam bios with Elder Cabrera. He came home with me and Ramirez and did an interview with a person to get baptized. Elder Cabrera is so funny, and I could actually talk with him even though he only speaks Spanish.
Saturday- Went to do a service project, building a chicken pen. We walked forever and the lady wasn't even home! Then we started our fast and decided to go visit our recent convert Hermano Francisco at the top of the mountain. WE NEED TO PLAN BETTER!
Sunday- We got ready for church and someone who was going to pick up a family of investigators said that nobody was answering the door so we LEGIT RAN to their house and got them and went to church. We ended up being 15 minutes late, but it was fine because they are going to be baptized on Saturday. Also, we had a Baptism after church, and I got to baptize my amigo Benjamin. His first language is English, and he understands it better so I asked him and my companions if I could baptize him in English and everyone said yessss! That is never going to happen again in my entire mission. Then we met up with Averett and Mill's companionships and went and got cake for Averett's comp, Elder Hernandez's birthday! Then Mill's and his comps stayed the night because his companions are going home in 4 days, so he is staying with us while his companions go visit their old areas for the next couple days.
Welp that's it for this week, Still dripping sweat, getting fat and always tired.
Love you all, Elder Price
