Thanksgiving, Service and becoming a better missionary.

Hola, Como Esta? Todo Tranquillo? My last p-day was Wednesday so it's only been 4 days since then, so I don't have a ton of funny stories, but I have some important things to say.  P-day- It was transfers this week, so we had a sleepover with some of the other elders and there where 6 of us.   We only had 4 twin sized mattresses soooo let's just say I didn't get very much sleep. But like I said in my last email I didn't get transferred and I'm staying here till at least until January!!!  For Thanksgiving I didn't get a big feast I got 2 rabies shots. HAHA.  We woke up at 5am to go to take a two-and-a-half-hour bus ride to Tegucigalpa for rabies shots. No, I didn't get bit by a dog. The whole mission had to get them. Then my comp needed shoes, so we traveled to city mall to buy some and headed home. When we got home, we taught only 2 lessons because it was getting late and for "Thanksgiving" we went to our second counselor's house Roberto ...

Intercambios, Homeless man attack, Lots of sickness and weekly runthrough

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Too bad they don't celebrate it here but hope you all enjoy and are doing well!  I get to get my rabies shot instead.    I've decided that I will never be healthy during my mission. I either have stomach problems, allergies or a cold basically every day pero esta bien. This week was super long.   Today is p-day instead of Monday like normal because transfers are tomorrow so every 6 weeks p-day will be on Wednesday. Also, I'm not getting transferred, I'm staying in Comayagua for Christmas!!!  Funny story, A random homeless man walked up to me and Elder Ramirez one night and asked if we wanted to buy his potatoes and I said no and boom he punched me in the arm, so we backed up and Ramirez kept saying ay! ay! Tranquillo! and he ended up leaving. Anyways this week had a lot of stuff. I went on a ton of Intercam bios with my buddies Elder Mills and Averett and since we were all still greenies it was a little weird, but we nail...

Crazy Wednesday, wixoms parents, service project #2 and 6 meals

We had a strange week this week.  There wasn't a ton of because My comp Elder Wixom is leaving on Tuesday. We went and said goodbye to a lot of people but we still made sure we tried. Wednesday was kind of crazy. We started out by heading to siquetepeque to go eat lunch with their pensionista because she invited us over. After we ate, we were walking to a market to go Souvenir shopping for wixom, Well some random gringo yells from a car "hey where are you from?" I said Washington and he sounded disappointed so I asked him where he was from and he said "Colorado" Crazy there's people from the states.   Then on the bus ride home I was sitting in between a lady and my comp Ramirez and the lady all of the sudden started to make a noise like as soon as I got on and well she was having a baby!!!  I didn't know if she was going to make it the hour long bus ride to Comayagua to go to the hospital so I leaned over to Ramirez and told him and he said " If s...

Temple trip, Book of Mormon, triple double and weekly run though.

Welcome back to the crazy adventures of Elder Price, first I've been doing a bad job at adding a spiritual thought and I had an awesome experience this week so we will start with that. We had the opportunity as a companionship to go to the temple on Wednesday. While I was in the temple, I prayed to be able to feel the spirit more often and I knew I was almost done reading the Book of Mormon so I asked that when I pray that I will receive an answer.  Friday, I finished the Book of Mormon during my personal study for the FIRST TIME EVER in my life which is kinda sad to say. Well at the end of Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:4 it says to once you receive these things pray with a sincere heart to know if it is true. So, I went into my room with 0 distractions and knelt down and prayed during my prayer I said, " Please let me know if the Book of Mormon is true and is the word of God." As soon as I said that sentence, I felt the spirit stronger than I had ever felt in my life to ...
