Crazy Wednesday, wixoms parents, service project #2 and 6 meals

We had a strange week this week. There wasn't a ton of because My comp Elder Wixom is leaving on Tuesday. We went and said goodbye to a lot of people but we still made sure we tried.

Wednesday was kind of crazy. We started out by heading to siquetepeque to go eat lunch with their pensionista because she invited us over. After we ate, we were walking to a market to go Souvenir shopping for wixom, Well some random gringo yells from a car "hey where are you from?" I said Washington and he sounded disappointed so I asked him where he was from and he said "Colorado" Crazy there's people from the states.

Then on the bus ride home I was sitting in between a lady and my comp Ramirez and the lady all of the sudden started to make a noise like as soon as I got on and well she was having a baby!!! I didn't know if she was going to make it the hour long bus ride to Comayagua to go to the hospital so I leaned over to Ramirez and told him and he said " If she actually starts having her baby right here you and me are helping her and since you've helped cows you should know what to do" Ramirez was serious at this moment so I just said ok but most of you know I overthink everything so in my head I was screaming " what the heck, this is a human not a cow! Cows normally have babies on their own and I've only ever had to pull one cow! Ugh who should I call if this actually happens because I don't speak Spanish so I can't ask for help? My mom maybe, she's had 6 kids, Well she's not a nurse so I'll go with Jande(Family friend) well IDK what type of nurse she is, Rachel(my cousin) I know for a fact she knows what she's doing, well she's probably at work soooo Jande it is!!" Then all of the sudden Ramirez turns to me and says "Price I don't feel good I might throw up" So now I'm panicking more. Well, I got good news, The lady didn't have the baby on the bus and Ramirez made it off the bus and only dry heaved in the bathroom. It was the longest hour of my life.

My comp Wixoms parents came here to pick up Wixom and go see a bunch of his old areas and meet people. Friday, they arrived at the airport so we went there and picked them up. Then we split up and me and Ramirez went out teaching and then met back up for dinner and said goodbye.

Service project #2 was a blast. We got a call from Piedras Bonitas late and they asked if we could help pain a member's house the next morning so we said yes. When we got there, we got knew that the whole inside of the house needed to be painted but first we had to sand all the walls down and they didn't have electric sanders of course so me and Elder Averett did no painting only sanding for 5 house and still didn't finish. It was super fun though, we listened to Christmas music and ended up so dirty.

We got to teach an English class this week which was super fun. It was planned for Saturday at 5 and no one was there are 4:58 so I was like dang nobody is going to show up but 8 people ended up coming. Ramirez taught English connect 1 and I taught the advanced class of English connect 3.

I'm not going to lie, I'm probably the worst gringo at soccer in our zone but last P-day I was popping off. About 50% was on accident and I may have bombed the ball over the fence, so Wixom climbed and got it and missed about 4 shots, but my skills are defiantly improving.

My family teases me because I've gained so much weight, but this is an example why. Friday, I ate 6 meals and It wasn't my fault. I woke up and made myself pancakes like I always do(1). Then we went and visited a recent convert Franciso and afterwards Wixom said he's buying us bale Adas so I was like ok I'll take 1 well he bought me 2 and a watermelon smoothie (2). After we got his parents from the airport, we went to our pensionistas house and she made us papusas and she gave us 2 each to start and once I was halfway done with my second, SHE PUT ANOTHER ONE ON MY PLATE so I ate 3(3). Then while we were walking home to get our backpacks a lady in our ward yelled Elders quieren un tomalito(Elders you guys want a little tamales) and thinking it was one Ramirez said yes well it was 3 each, so we ate them all (4). Then while we were teaching a family started to eat dinner and boom a plate of rice, beans, eggs and sausage on a plate somehow ended up in front of me, so I had to eat it(5). Then the plan was to meet up with Wixom's parents so they could take us out to dinner welp we went and got boneless wings and ate all of it(6) let's just say I basically wanted to through it all up after the papusas but like my dad always would tell me "Eat till your full then just keep eating" I mean that's when I wanted to gain weight now I'm fat and finally listening to that advice HAHA. They just offer so much food here.

An awesome part of the week, we had a lady ask if we could come over to her house to teach her kid who is 8. She wants to get baptized. Both the parents are inactive but have gone the last 2 weeks. When we showed up 2 other girls where there and we asked why they were there, and they said they wanted to get baptized too. Well now we have 2 baptismal dates for the end of the month that are investigators and 1 that's a member. Then at church on Sunday we had a member come up to us and say," I know 2 Girls who want to join the church and get baptized." so we are going to teach them Thursday.

Spiritual thought: 2 weeks ago, we didn't have any progressing investigators and had no luck finding new people to teach. On fast Sunday we asked to have the opportunity to find new people to teach that want to hear the gospel. Well, this week we have met some super awesome people that are ready to hear and accept the gospel in their lives. I know that fasting may be hard and I hate it with a passion sometimes but if you do it with the right intent it can bring so many blessing into your life.

Welp It's raining like crazy, Still eating plenty of food and still terrible at Spanish
