I'm a dad
Ok let me explain. Don't worry I don't actually have a kid but transfers came last week and I found out that I'm training a new missionary!!!!! His name is Elder Alonzo. He is from Guatemala. He's super chill but pretty quite but I guess thats normal as a new missionary.
Last week we had a lot of exchanges so I didn't work in my area very much. One day we where in Tilourque helping the hermanas and then the next day I did my first exchanges with the elders from Pradera and they went pretty good. We also went to a stake activity with an investigator and the Zl's and the other elders showed up. W e ended up playing basketball in our white shirts and ties. I dominated of course.
Then Tuesday we had transfers and my companion Ruiz left which was kinda sad cause he was awesome. My new comp didn't get to Honduras until Wednesday so all of Tuesday I went with another greengo named Elder Keyes. We spent the day together since he is traning also. This new group was really small with only 2 Elders and 3 Sister missionaries.
Wednesday we had the meeting of the new missionaries and it was really good. That's where I met my new comp. After we ate lunch there we came back to the area and went to work. We visited some investigators and then I had to go to the bathroom so we came back to the house really quick and when we went to leave my comp locked the door and then I realized I DIDN'T HAVE THE DANG KEYS. I locked them in the house so we called the owner of the house and he said he had the extras but lives in siquetpece which is 3 hours away so we asked a ton of people for help and finally someone came to help us. He came with a bunch of keys and nothing worked. Then he left and came back with a piece of plastic and wire cutters, I was like thats strange but then 15 seconds later boom the door was opened. Who knows how he did it but I'm very greatful he did. Then we went and ate with the pensionista.
The rest of the week we just visited members, Investigators and contacted. Its honestly really weird for me because my comp still doesn't really know how to teach or contact so I basically do everything but he is learning really fast.
This last week I've been sharing Elder Mills favorite scripture a lot which is Ether 12:27 which talks about weaknesses. In the scripture it says that if we show our weaknesses to God and be humble he will make those weak things strong. One of my weaknesses is teaching, not teaching the lessons but right now it's teaching my comp how to do the missionary work. I always pray that I will be able to teach him to be a good missionary and how to teach and bring others unto christ. I know that if we humble ourselves and show our weaknesses unto God he will bless us and make them stronger.
I'm currently feeling good! Thank you for your prayers. Dengue fever wasn't fun but I'm currently going strong.
Love you all, Elder Price
