Helping others and Rain Storm
I can't believe it; Monday will be 1 month in, and I feel like I just started last week.
Most of us are ready to get out of the mtc because we are tired of classes. We taught our first two lessons to real people Saturday and Wednesday. The first one was rough because it was on zoom and all we had to do was talk to the person and ask question then to share a quick scripture. As soon as we said our scripture we looked down at our notebook and realized we had no notes after that, so we just had to full send. IDK if the guy understood anything we said because he kept laughing at us. The second one was a lot better it was in person with a girl. She was only 14 but she was very smart. We asked her what the scripture we shared was and she went on a whole rant about it. I was kind of impressed.
Now for the weekly run though
Sunday: It was fast Sunday, and it was tough. The devotional was so good. It was Elder Holland talking about why they made the preach my gospel and how missionaries used to fall away from the church because they just memorized the lessons and never took them to heart. Now we are supposed to teach on what people need to hear.
side note: after my dang button fell off my suit so I pulled out my grandma Wallevand skills and sowed them on nicely.
Tuesday: Sent missionary's off and got some new ones. The food was bomb. We got ribs and pizza in the same day but other than that day was mid. The devotional was super good, and I like something that President Reyes said. He said, " learning a language is like going to the gym no pain no gain". It was pretty funny but so true cause learning Spanish is tough and mentally painful but mi espenol esta mujerando.
Thursday: A CARZYRAIN STORM HIT. It hadn't had rained in about and week which was super shocking then right as gym time was ending it started pouring out of nowhere. Everyone in our house decided to go playing in the rain and mess around. Once we showered and got ready for class it started raining even harder. Hail was coming down and everything. The streets had like 2-3 inches of rain in some spots, so we rain to class in the rain. Everyone got soaked. Our pants/socks/shoes everything.
It was a meh week. The rainstorm was super nice though. It changed everyone's attitude that day in my opinion for the better and don't worry I'm one of the only ones in my district that hasn't got sick so that's a win.
Love, Elder Price
