Week of Cake and Baptisms
This week has been amazing and I'm starting to love it here. We have had cake 7 times this week!!!It was Elder Hernadez birthday at the beginnig of the week, so we ended up having cake at 2 different people's house. Then we had cake for a lady's birthday party, then at a baptism, Then on Saturday it was my comp Elder Ramirez birthday and we've had cake 3 times for it. We plan to have at least one more cake!!!!! People like to eat and celebrate.
We had a baptism which is sooo awesome but there was a little hiccup, and it was partially my fault but IDK how I would have been able to fix it. Saturday and we baptized 3 kids, Allison, Elvia and Elvin. I baptized Allison, shes almost the same size as me. It was kind of hard because the faunt WAS SLOWLY DRAINING!!! By the time I got in the faunt it was lower than my knees. I didn't know how I was going to do this. It took my 2 tries but I somehow got it. After me, Wixom and Ramirez had to baptize with less water!
Monday- Had a zone P-day for our last one before the transfer and we got money from the President and had so much food and coke. Someone had the awesome idea to do a water fight so then everyone got soaked. It turned into cake war, and they smeared it all over everyone's faces. Such a pain to clean up!
Wednesday and Thursday- Went to teguc cause President told Ramirez he could for his birthday. We were able to go to the biggest mall in our mission, City Mall. He got a super nice watch, and I got a "Sombrero" (It's a cowboy hat). The next day we went to transfers and I saw some of my friends from the CCM.
Friday- Went on exchanges for Baptism interviews. The progress here is awesome.
Saturday- Baptism Day. We got invited over to the lady's house again but for Ramirez birthday and she made soup!! why soup it's so hot here!! but it was good. Then we had the baptism, went out to eat again with a family and had massive baliadas and more cake!
Sunday- Church and our pensionistas son made amazing wings at his restaurant!!! I got Buffalo and Honey Mustard, and they were the best wings I've ever had. We had the opportunity to take a lady the sacrament who isn't able to make it to church and she has the coolest house Ever!!! It's a main house then if you go out back, she has a little inground pool for little kids. she has a super nice patio, chairs and lights. Then all around are 4 little rooms/ houses. They had bridges connecting them on the second stories and you could go all the way to the roof. On one of the roofs, you can see a ton of Honduras and even the airport which is far away!! then we had dinner and I got recked in chess twice by Wixom. Have I mentioned I hate chess.
P.s we watched the solar eclipse and got caught hitching a ride.
Welp sorry my emails long but I'm starting to really love it here, I started working out and I'm sore but still love the food! and I still can't speak Spanish, but I keep trying and won't give up. I do see progress though.
Love you all, Elder Price
