Temple, Airport and weekly runthrough
Letssss gooo one week till CHRISTMAS! this week was a lot of fun.
First off, on Saturday we went to the temple to watch a family get sealed. My Comp is really good friends with and man I love going to the temple here. It's such a peaceful place and the temple grounds are so pretty. We had to wake up at 4am to catch a bus and so it did seem like the longest day of my life, I was so tired, but it was worth it.
I finally got my packages from my mom!! I'm so happy. I've been craving candy from the USA so badly and I finally got some. Don't worry mom I'm rationing it HAHA. I did end up having to go to the Airport to get them. A missionary was going to their actual mission because they got their visa so we had the secretaries bring them to the airport because is in my area. We also got cinnamon rolls. Then some members offered us a ride home and they missed our exit. Elder Ramirez and I being brave young men we are just sat there too afraid to say anything. haha
Then finally Ramirez said something, and they dropped us off in the middle of nowhere and we could see Comayagua but didn't know how to get there so we walked for a while then found a bus that was heading there so we took it.
The rest of the week flew by
Monday- I went to get a haircut but once I got the power went out, so I didn't end up getting one and then we went to Piedras to play cards. We ended up getting invited to a FHE with them, so I had to borrowed some of Elder Averett's clothes.
Wednesday- We met with a crazy lady who said she had a reference for us. We went with her, and they weren't home, so we went to her house, and she lives with her sister who isn't a member and we ended up teaching her nephew who was super excited to listen to us but once he told his mom she said no more teaching him.
Thursday- Went to the airport and went to an English class to help with pronouncing words. I've done that a couple times. For some reason I ended up singing the National Anthem and We wish you a merry Christmas so that people could learn the tune. Apparently, they think here I'm a professional singer. JK.
Saturday- Went to tegus for the temple, came home to attend a graduation for the English class but we couldn't find a taxi to save our lives so we ended up being late and showed up at the end but it was ok and people took so many pictures with us even though we had only gone to like 3 different classes so I felt a little famous but I know it's because I'm a Greengo.
Sunday- went to church, ate lunch and while we were out contacting, we went to the center of Comagua and the Catholic church was having a massive party/celebration and I felt so out of place, low-key a little nervous cause everyone knows we are the Mormons, but it was ok. We only got yelled at 3 times by people.
Thats it for this week, hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!
Love you all, Elder Price
