Starting to work again and baptism interview

Image
Hey how are you all doing. I'm doing better. The only thing is when Im walking I either have 0 pain or I have a bunch of pain. It is so random but I'm learning to live with it HAHA. But this week we starting working again and man is it hard to get back into a routine after 15 days of doing nothing and now not being able to start the day off with exercise. It's tough. This week I did a baptism interview for the hermanas in my district and I was going to do one for the zl's but the girl left with her dad and didn't come back till late so I wasn't able to do the interview but its was fine cause we stayed the night with the zl's and we sat out on there deck listing to Elder Hernandez play his ukulele which was super relaxing. Then we played games until midnight. The rest of the week we just went and visited memeber since it was the first week my new comp Elder Garcia and I left the house since the start of this transfer.  But p-day I finally was able to go to ...

New Comp and my birthday

Hey how y'all doing? I'm doing good but man was this last week crazy. My birthday was the day of transfers and I got a new companion.   His name is Elder Amorim, He's from Brazil (shout out to my boy Chase who's serving there).  I'm 19 which is weird to say to be honest because everyone is always asking how old we are and now the number has changed. haha  We didn't do anything for my birthday, we were busy because of exchanges and we lost all of our contacts in our phone which kept me busy for the day, but it's fine I still have one more Birthday in the mission. Also, fun fact He is the only person from Brazil in our mission.  I think is funny he speaks Portuguese, pretty good Spanish and a little English. I speak English and I'd say my Spanish isn't terrible. The other day we were in a zoom call and he wanted to talk fast to me or just normal so he pulled out google translate,  put it on Portuguese to English and started speaking to me like that. Ne...

I'm Bored

Hey everyone hope you guys are doing great. I'm super bored because since I had surgery I can't leave the house very much. Since the 9th of May I have left a total of 4 time. I don't have much to talk about so I'll just talk about those 4 times.  Thursday- we went back to the hospital for a checkup to see how everything's doing and the doctor said it's looking good but because of my hernia I can't do exercise or lift anything heavy for 2 months.  I already know I'm going to get fat.  After we walked over to McDonald's which was close right outside the hospital and wow,  McDonald’s was sooooo good. This was the first time in 8 months that I had eaten there and I was in heaven. Friday- I taught English class which is always fun but it hurt to walk back and forth to the church because it's just a massive hill. Saturday- took medicine and walked back to the church for an event with the youth and some investigators. After I got in trouble for leaving...

Surgery in Honduras!!

Image
What up guy how you doing? Im doing good. Well not good but alright and yes long story short I had surgery. Now for the long story. I woke up tuesday night with a ton of pain in my stomach to the point I thought I was going to pass out or die if I got out of my bed. After 2 hours it went away and I fell back asleep. In the morning I had felt like I had broken a fever and had 0 energy to do anything. I told the nurse ladys of the mission and they told me to go to the hospital. When I got there they did an ultra sound to make sure it wasn't appendicitis and they found nothing but to be sure they did a CT scan and found out I had appendicitis and a hernia. Whats my luck to have both of those at the same time. Soooo then I went back to my room thing and waited for confermation from the head doctor of all the central america missions and he called me and told me I would be getting surgery there. So at 7:30 on wednesday they wheeled me to the surgical room and they did three little ins...

Baptism, gangster and weekly run through

Image
This week was good. Like the title says we had a baptism on Sunday of Hermana Emilna. We had been teacher her for 4 months and she finaly excepted to be baptized. Now we are working to get her 2 daughters baptized. This week Wednesday night was fun.  We left one of the more dangerous area a little late at  night and all of the sudden when we got to the border of the two gangs there where a ton of military men dressed in all black which was super cool.   I wanted a picture but the lady escorting us out of the area said no because they could start fighting with the gangsters at any moment so we took a different route. When we got close to a safe area with no gangsters a couple people starting say "Oh they are mormons, We might have to do something with them" - Random gangster in the street. I was terrified and just kept walking and didn't say a word cause there were like 8 guys sitting on motorcycles. Then  I had a random man try impressing me with his English by talki...
