Merry Christmas, Tegucigalpa and 0 work

Image
Merry Christmas y'all. It doesn't seem like Christmas because it's hot here. So, it hasn't been too hard on me being away for my first Christmas. Last p-day we had a mission wide p-day in Tegucigalpa. We woke up at 4am to catch a bus to go there.  With our luck our bus broke down in the mountains, so we had to catch another bus and since it was so full, we stood for an hour and a half which wasn't terrible. Then we got our second dose of the rabies shots and a flu shot and continued to play soccer and basketball.  We had pizza with the entire mission. It was really fun. That night we went to city mall to buy gifts for a zone secret Santa and after we stayed the night in Comayaguela. It was freezing that night, and I didn't have any sheets or anything, so I slept in a t-shirt and jeans and still froze. Then we had our Christmas multi-zone where we all got Santa hats from President and had some really good turkey and other food.  Wednesday was the only day we wo...

Temple, Airport and weekly runthrough

Letssss gooo one week till CHRISTMAS! this week was a lot of fun. First off, on Saturday we went to the temple to watch a family get sealed.   My Comp is really good friends with and man I love going to the temple here.  It's such a peaceful place and the temple grounds are so pretty. We had to wake up at 4am to catch a bus and so it did seem like the longest day of my life, I was so tired, but it was worth it.  I finally got my packages from my mom!! I'm so happy. I've been craving candy from the USA so badly and I finally got some.  Don't worry mom I'm rationing it HAHA. I did end up having to go to the Airport to get them.  A missionary was going to their actual mission because they got their visa so we had the secretaries bring them to the airport because is in my area. We also got cinnamon rolls. Then some members offered us a ride home and they missed our exit.   Elder Ramirez and I being brave young men we are just sat there too afra...

Hospital pt.2, Baptism and Ward Christmas party

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the Adventures of Elder Price, this country is so amazing and pretty, but man is it trying to kill me! Like usual, I've been pretty sick but this time with stomach problems, I had a really bad week.  For 4 days I had stomach problems pretty bad, 3 days I didn't go to the bathroom and then the next day I went 9 times. Maybe too much info but just letting you know what life here on the mission is really like.  Elder Ramirez finally had enough of me asking to find a bathroom, so he called our mission Presidents wife, and she told me to go to the hospital. I got WEIGHED and ready for this.......160lbs after going to the bathroom 9 times!!! When I left for my mission, I was only 140 I've gained some weight in the past 5 months HAHA. They ran some tests on me and did some stuff and the doctor said that it's a problem with my colon.  She said I need to eat less greasy and oily food. Problem is that everything is dee...

Christmas is here, long trip, First Blessing and weekly run-through

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go!" que onda? Como le va? Wow Christmas is going to be lit here in Honduras especially in Comayagua!!  We got our MSF or missionary funds on Thursday and me and my companion being the responsible missionary's we are bought a "cheap" Christmas tree and decorations for our house. We also bought Santa hats that we wear every night teaching. We may or may not have gotten "lost" and ended up at the first day of a massive light festival and they lit a huge Christmas tree. You wouldn't even believe me if I tried explaining to you how many lights are at this place it's so unreal.  I made a long trip this week. We have this investigator named Jose who is very interested in the church only problem is our area is absolutely massive and he lives 3 hours away. So, Friday morning we hopped on a bus at 8:30 and took off to go meet him in person now this bus ride was the most amazing and terri...
